Last week Feline took some photos of me wearing my white contacts. I bought them for Halloween and wanted to make use of them one more time before they would expire. I will probably post more photos later, but here’s a little preview :). Thnx Feline!

The Who Am I? exhibition we had at Galerie Atelier Herenplaats now moves to Gent, Belgium. The expo consists of work from students and teachers from Atelier Vrije Grafiek Academie (Gent), Willem de Kooning Academie and Atelier Herenplaats (both Rotterdam). The opening is Friday the 5th of March from 19:30-22:00 in the exhibition space kamer108 at Academie Beeldende Kunsten DKO in Gent.

I’ve been working on the concept for my Display project and I think I’ve got it figured out :)! I made the work in progress page, filed under current project /. And yeah, it is always hard working with a cat that’s addicted to attention.. love her!

I made 2 etchings on a copper plate. It’s the first time I’ve worked on copper, which is really different because you can’t see that well. It is also annoying that I can’t make photos of it, because the layer you work in is colourless. Instead I took some photos of the transparent transfers I used. I’m curious how they’ll turn out :).

I wanted to make something different (for me) and decided to throw in a lot of black, because I’m always holding back too much with that. Was a nice experiment :). (will upload a scan next week)

Little project on the side, with a dessin silkscreened on linnen. I will make some skirts of it, with my mom :). This photo just shows me picking colours for the ink, but I don’t have any photos of that yet and I did feel like posting, yeah!

I love seeing the progress people make during the years in these Improvement Memes at DeviantArt and decided I’d make one too :).
I figured I would really hate my old work, but turned out I loved seeing the progress and felt all nostalgic hehe

I worked on my textual images by putting some into lead. I’ve collected loads of frames from second hand stores to use as my base for my (textual) projects. I wanted to share an example :) (work in progress of course).

I developed my first two rolls of film for my Holga. The first one was filled with some snapshots within a few minutes and the second one was one big crazy experiment (because of some weird problems with the roll) which could have been either very cool or just very lame. The last happened, because it turned out not to contain any image (grr..)! Today I bought some 35mm film with 36 frames (instead of 120mm with 12/16) so I hope to get to know the camera a bit with a bigger amount of shots to mess around with :).

Lately my site content is changing constantly, what makes it a little bit of a mess all the time. I’m changing the accent and adding/returning some sections I had removed. Hope to have it finished this Christmas holiday :).
For now, sorry for the mess..(portfolio, info and news DO HAVE content)

Some of my prints are now available in the blaak10 gallery special Guerrilla KerstStore for Christmas! The work will be for sale from the 11th of December ’till the 3rd of January. Go and have a look :)! The work that will be sold is a mix of accessories, clothing, books, prints and more, made by students and alumni of the Willem de Kooning Academy.
