The flyers Robin and I designed for the Lord of the Flies Expo at De KunstSuper turned out to be quite some work, while we had to add our little almost-real-perforation by hand. We printed a lot of flyers, so some artists from the expo lent Wai Sue and me a hand.
Another group expo coming up at De KunstSuper Galerie in Rotterdam! A group of 18 artists worked on projects inspired by the novel Lord of the Flies, by William Golding.

The exhibition starts the 17th of July with an opening and will be viewable until the 28th of August.

For you Dutchies: Leidend voor deze expositie is de psychologische roman Lord of the Flies (1954) van Nobelprijs winnaar William Golding. Het boek verhaalt over een groep Engelse schooljongens, die met een vliegtuig zijn neergestort op een onbewoond eiland. Golding betoogt dat de mens zonder opgelegde regels en beperkingen van een beschaving tot beestachtigheid vervalt; van nature is de mens slecht.
De afgelopen 6 maanden werkten 18 studenten van de Willem de Kooning Academie aan blijvend actuele thema’s uit als onschuld, kwaad, sociale uitsluiting, deïndividuatie (denk aan hooligans) en de val van de mensheid. Het spanningsveld van groepssamenwerking heeft geleid tot een opwindende tentoonstelling.
